How to check if a plumber is registered with PIRB

  1. 1 Ask for their PIRB registration number.
  2. 2 Look them up on the PIRB verification page. It shows whether the registration is current and the plumber's category.
  3. 3 Only a Licensed Plumber or Master Plumber may issue a PIRB Certificate of Compliance — a Qualified or Learner Plumber may not.
  4. 4 A registration that has lapsed means they may not issue a certificate until it is renewed.
