Terms of Use

1. Who we are
PlumberFinder (plumberfinder.co.za) is run by Adriaan Bester, a sole proprietor in Cape Town, South Africa, of 33 6th Avenue, Philippi, Cape Town 7750. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
2. What the site is
PlumberFinder is a free directory of plumbers in South Africa. Listings come from the PIRB register and from public sources such as Google Maps and the businesses' own websites.
- You contact a business directly, by WhatsApp, phone or email. We do not pass on requests or sit between you.
- It costs you nothing. We do not charge you, take payment for any work, or take a share of it.
- Any agreement about a job is between you and the business. We are not a party to it, and we do not employ, recommend or supervise any business listed.
3. Check before you hire
Each listing shows the business's PIRB status as it was when we last read the register. Registrations lapse and registers change, and we cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate or current. Before you hire anyone, and always before work that needs a certificate of compliance, confirm their registration on the official register and get a written quote.
Our certificate and registration guides are general information, not legal advice.
4. Businesses listed on the site
- A listing is free. Being listed does not mean we endorse you or that you endorse us.
- You can ask us to correct, update or remove your listing on the List your business page or by email (section 9).
- Featuring a listing is optional and paid. It changes where a listing appears, never what it says about registration.
Featuring
- Only a business with a current PIRB registration can be featured. We check the register before we ask for any payment.
- You choose how to pay:
- Upfront: R300 for one month, R850 for 3 months, R1,600 for 6 and R2,880 for 12, in one payment. It does not renew by itself.
- Monthly by card: R300 a month, charged to your card today and then every month until you cancel. Each payment keeps you featured for another month.
- Monthly invoice: we send you an invoice for R300 each month, which you pay online or by bank EFT. Nothing is charged automatically.
- Card and instant EFT payments are processed by Paystack South Africa; we never see your card details. Your listing is featured as soon as such a payment goes through. Featuring is a placement on this site, so nothing is delivered: it starts on the site itself.
- We feature your listing within one working day of a bank EFT showing in our account, until the end date we confirm to you. Paying early for another period adds it to the end of the current one.
- Upfront payments and invoices do not renew by themselves and there is no debit order. We remind you about a week before an upfront term ends; if you don't pay again, your listing simply returns to the free listings.
- Cancelling monthly featuring: open the link on your payment receipt page (plumberfinder.co.za/featured/manage/<your listing>) and Paystack emails you a secure link to cancel or to change your card, or ask us by WhatsApp or email and we cancel it for you. After cancelling nothing more is charged, and your listing stays featured to the end of the month you have paid for. A month already paid is not refunded part-way. If a monthly charge fails, Paystack tries again; featuring runs to the end of the month paid for in the meantime.
- If we cannot feature you (for example, the register shows no current registration), we refund you in full. If your registration lapses while you are featured, featuring stops and we refund the unused whole months. You can stop an upfront term at any time; we refund the unused whole months, at the per-month rate of the term you paid for. If your registration lapses while you pay monthly, we stop the subscription and refund any charge made after it lapsed.
5. Using the site
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or harvest listings in bulk, or use the contact details on this site for unsolicited marketing
- give us false information, or pretend to be a business or person you are not
- interfere with the site, its security or other people's use of it

6. Liability
The site is provided as it is, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for work done or not done by a listed business, for what a business charges, or for any loss that comes from relying on information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be limited.
7. Other sites
Links to WhatsApp, business websites, the PIRB register and other sites take you off PlumberFinder. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
